If someone you know was recently arrested but you aren't sure where they were taken, as long as you have their full name and a general vicinity you can call a bail bondsman and they will be more than happy to find them for you. Because this is their business they will, in my experience, treat you with respect and come to your aid in a timely manor believing you will be their next customer.
Create an inclement weather calling list with the other regular visitors at the facility you visit. This also works for holidays especially at county jails when they don't decide till the last minuet if they want to give visits on certain days like Thanksgiving.
Take extra clothes to visit not just for your self but any one your with. If you want to be extra thoughtful to our community bring extra clothes for anyone who might be in need to get in to see their loved one.
